Set up your global whitelabel profile
Rebrand the Manage GPL connector across all your sites at once by configuring a global whitelabel profile.
Updated
On this page
On the Agency plan, you can rebrand the connector plugin so it appears inside your clients' WordPress admin as your agency's plugin, not Manage GPL's. The global profile is the default applied to every site you connect; you can override it per-site if a specific client needs different branding.
What gets rebranded
- Plugin name in the WordPress Plugins list (e.g., "Acme Site Manager" instead of "Manage GPL Connect").
- Plugin description in the Plugins list.
- Plugin author + author URI that appear in plugin details.
- Plugin visibility: an optional toggle to hide the plugin entirely from the client's Plugins list (it stays active, just invisible to someone browsing the list).
What doesn't get rebranded
- The WordPress admin bar doesn't currently have a "Manage GPL" item to hide — no action needed.
- Update notifications from third-party premium plugins (those come from the plugin vendors themselves, not from us).
- The Manage GPL dashboard itself — only you log into that, clients never see it.
Configure the global profile
- Go to Dashboard → Settings → Whitelabel.
- Fill in:
- Plugin name — what clients will see in their Plugins list.
- Description — a short blurb under the plugin name.
- Author — your agency's name.
- Author URI — a link back to your agency (optional).
- Hide from Plugins list — check if you want the plugin invisible in wp-admin's Plugins list (it remains active and functional).
- Click Save.
Manage GPL pushes the new settings to every connected site's connector plugin within a few seconds. The rebranding takes effect on the next page load inside wp-admin.
Verify it worked
Log into one of your connected sites' wp-admin and go to Plugins. You should see your custom name, author, and description on the "Manage GPL Connect" row (which is no longer called that). If a specific site is still showing the default branding, go to Settings → Whitelabel in Manage GPL — each connected site's push status is listed there, and any row whose last push failed has a Retry button next to it.
Temporarily revert
To stop whitelabeling (restore default Manage GPL branding), click Delete whitelabel profile. All sites revert to default within seconds.
Plan requirement
Whitelabel is an Agency-only feature. Developer and Free plans can view the Whitelabel page but the save button is disabled.
