Download an invoice PDF
Where to find past invoices, the difference between the customer-side and admin-side invoice URLs, and what happens to refunded invoices.

On this page
Every successful payment on Manage GPL creates a tax-compliant PDF invoice you can download for accounting.
Find your invoices
- Go to Dashboard → Billing.
- Scroll to the Invoices section.
- Click Download next to any invoice.
Each invoice shows its number, date, amount, and status (Paid, Refunded, Disputed).
What's on the invoice
- Invoice number (e.g., "INV-2026-00042") — sequential, auditable
- Date of issue + payment
- Billed-to: your name + email
- Billed-from: Manage GPL's business details (address, tax ID)
- Line items: plan, billing period, amount
- Tax breakdown (if applicable)
- Total and payment method (last 4 of card)
- Status pill (green "Paid" / gray "Refunded" / red "Disputed")
Invoices are rendered server-side from a versioned template. If we update the template (add a field, change layout), old invoices are regenerated fresh on next download.
Refunded or disputed invoices
If your invoice was refunded or is under dispute, the customer-side download link returns a 404. This is intentional — you shouldn't have a "we owe you" PDF lying around after we've processed the refund.
If you specifically need a copy of a refunded invoice for your records, email support with the invoice number and we can send you an admin-side copy.
Bulk download
For end-of-year accounting, there's no bulk-download button yet. If you have multiple invoices, downloading them individually from the Billing page is the current workflow. We're considering adding a year export; if this is a blocker for you, reply to a support ticket and let us know.
Stripe's Customer Portal
You can also access a subset of your billing info via Stripe's hosted Customer Portal:
- Dashboard → Billing → Manage payment method
- You'll be redirected to Stripe's portal, where you can update your card, view payment history, and download Stripe-style receipts.
Stripe's receipts are simpler (they don't include Manage GPL's business details / tax ID) — useful for quick lookups, not ideal for formal accounting. Use the Manage GPL invoice PDFs for books.
