No download limits — unlimited installs on any plan

Manage GPL does not meter installs, updates, or downloads. Here's what is and isn't capped, and how we differ from typical GPL download sites.

Updated

Short version: installs and updates are not metered. If you're on a paid plan, you can install every plugin and theme in our catalog on every site you own, as many times as you want. There's no monthly credit pool, no per-item quota, no per-day cap.

What is NOT limited

  • Number of installs per month. Unmetered. Install Elementor Pro on 50 sites today and reinstall it tomorrow — no counter ticks.
  • Number of updates run. Unmetered. Bulk-update every plugin across every site every hour if you want.
  • Which items you can use. Every item in our 6,500+ catalog is available to every paid-plan user. No "premium" tier inside the catalog, no locked items, no individual item upsells.
  • Which sites can use which item. No per-site licensing. If a plugin is in our catalog, every one of your connected sites can install and update it.

What IS limited

The limits on your account are the ones you can see on the pricing page:

  • Number of connected sites. Free: 5. Developer: 50. Agency: 1,000.
  • Feature gating per tier. Premium catalog updates + bulk updates + uptime monitoring + activity log live on Developer and above; whitelabel is Agency only.

That's it. Nothing else is rationed.

Why this matters

Most GPL download sites use one of two models: a monthly credit pool (you get N downloads per month, resets on the 1st) or per-item quotas (you can download each plugin up to N times per period). These models exist because their business is selling individual zip files — metering lets them tier revenue by usage.

Manage GPL is a management dashboard. We charge by connected site count, not by how hard you use the catalog. Once you're paid up for a tier, the catalog usage is a byproduct, not the thing being sold. That's why we don't meter it.

Questions this usually raises

  • "What about abuse — won't people share accounts?" Each connected site is bound to your account via its own HMAC secret, so a second user can't just "borrow" your installs without connecting their sites to your account (which counts against your site limit anyway). The site cap is the anti-abuse lever, not download metering.
  • "Does 'unlimited' apply to reinstalls/rollbacks?" Yes. Install / update / reinstall / roll back — all the same bucket, all unmetered.
  • "Do I lose access to installed plugins if I downgrade?" No. Installed files stay on your WordPress sites regardless. Downgrading to Free only removes your ability to push new premium updates from Manage GPL; what you've already installed keeps working.
